Caramelized Pears Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 Bartlett pears

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Directions:

  1. Half the pears and remove the cores.

  2. In a skillet, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Sprinkle in ground cinnamon and cook until sugar is melted.

  3. Add halved pears and cook for about 2 minutes. Increase the heat to medium-high and continue to cook, stirring frequently, for about 8 minutes.

  4. Stir in vanilla extract and cook for about 1 more minute then remove from heat and let cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
