Ingredients:

  • 6 cups milk

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

 

Directions:

  1. In your Larder & Vine Dutch Oven over medium-low heat, combine all ingredients until smooth. Cover and reduce heat to low.

  2. Ladle yourself a mug right away when warm enough, or let simmer to keep warm all evening. Make sure to stir every 30 minutes and always scrape your wooden spoon along the bottom of the Dutch oven.

For an even tastier experience, add a handful of marshmallows or a mountain of whipped cream!
