Homemade Croutons Recipe

Total Time: 15 minutes

No need to throw away your stale bread anymore, we found a great use for it... Homemade Croutons. You can cook them to your desired crispiness and add any seasonings you want. We love to season ours with salt, pepper, garlic, and parmesan cheese! They taste great on any salad, soup, or just as a snack on their own💚

- ½ to ¾ cup olive oil

- Day-old French bread

- Kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper

- Dried oregano, minced garlic, and/or grated parmesan

1. Heat ½ cup olive oil in your skillet over medium heat until warmed, then add enough read cubes to nearly fill the skillet. Fry on all sides until golden, about 2 minutes, using tongs to turn the cubes in the oil. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried croutons to a brown paper to drain. Season while hot with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.

2. Repeat with the remaining croutons, adding the remaining ¼ cup olive oil to the skillet as needed. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
