Recipe Ingredients
2 cups dry orzo
4 cups vegetable broth
2 pounds asparagus
9 tablespoons butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup grated parmesan cheese, extra for garnish
4 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe Directions
1. In your Larder & Vine Braiser over medium-low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add uncooked orzo and stir continuously until pasta is golden brown.
2. Add broth and whisk while bringing it to a boil.
3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed. Add the chopped asparagus in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove from heat and set aside in a bowl.
