Recipe Ingredients

  • 16 oz pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup vegetable broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Recipe Directions

1. Cook the Pasta

Cook the pasta according to the package directions in your Larder & Vine Dutch Oven. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.

2. Sauté the Garlic

In the same Dutch Oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

3. Make the Pumpkin Sauce

Add the pumpkin purée and broth to the Dutch Oven, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

4. Add the Cream and Seasonings

Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and nutmeg. Continue to simmer for 2 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with pepper and remove from heat.

5. Combine and Serve

Add the cooked pasta back into the Dutch Oven and toss until evenly coated with the sauce. Serve warm with extra Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and enjoy!
